Support your local independent makers and creators in Melton Mowbray at The Stockyard Summer pop-up on the 3rd of June. 30 small businesses will be joining forces to offer one-of-a-kind homeware, candles, plants, food, and clothes. There's a fantastic buzz to this fun event and with brush calligraphy workshops happening throughout the day too for just £15 this is the perfect day out for everyone.

Once you have been familiarised with the basic strokes and letterforms, which involves understanding the pressure and angle required to create thin upstrokes and thick downstrokes you will be guided through forming the letters of the alphabet and then move onto words. Your tutor will guide you with demonstrations, worksheets, and alphabet samples. This is a springboard for creating your own greeting cards, party invitations and artwork for your home. Before you know it you'll be creating greeting cards, party invitations, and artwork for your home and to give as gifts.
