About the Event

Calligrapher: Ceri Wanklyn

This inspiring workshop will give you the enviable skills you need, to make reconnecting with friends and family over the summer months extra special!

Spend a relaxing 2 hours learning to use the pointed nib to create elegant words with blended colours, perfect for  drinks menus, bottle tags, food flags, ‘welcome’ banners, cards, gift tags and any other magical flourishes you can dream up to adorn your home or garden.

The workshop is carefully structured to give you the best possible learning experience. Your tutor will guide you through various exercises, showing you how to create the letters of the alphabet and turn them into elegant words. As your confidence and understanding grows, you'll learn how to skillfully use metallics and blend colours to create stunning ombre and gradient effects.

Suitable for beginners and anyone looking to refresh their calligraphy skills.

We take safety at our workshops seriously and we will do everything necessary to keep you safe and have a great workshop. We have a rigorous workshop hygiene procedure, socially distanced work stations, and practice no-touch teaching.

We ask that you please do not attend if you are feeling ill, or think that you may have been exposed to the virus. You are really welcome to attend a workshop with someone from your bubble and bubble members will be seated together, socially distanced from other bubbles and individuals.

We will follow the latest guidelines for face coverings. At time of writing we expect this to be: Please wear a  mask. If the guidance changes, your calligrapher will advise you accordingly.

We are continually reviewing our safety measures as new government guidelines are released. For our up to date health and safety procedures please visit our Keeping You Safe page: https://www.themoderncalligraphyco.com/keeping-you-safe
