Use the techniques you learn with us to create beautifully unique-to-you drinks menus, bottle tags, food flags, ‘welcome’ banners, cards, gift tags and any other magical flourishes you can dream up to adorn your home or garden.

The workshop is carefully structured to give you the best possible learning experience. Your tutor will guide you through various exercises, showing you how to create the letters of the alphabet and turn them into elegant words. As your confidence and understanding grows, you'll learn how to skillfully use metallics and blend colours to create stunning ombre and gradient effects.

All your worksheets and templates are yours to keep, so that you can continue to practice your calligraphy with them at home.

This workshop is a live stream via Zoom, which means that you can ask questions and receive direct help with your work from our experienced tutor. This workshop is NOT a pre-recorded video and is suitable for complete beginners and anyone looking to refresh their calligraphy skills.

An online workshop is a wonderful way to learn calligraphy, as you are able to watch your tutor demonstrate up close on your screen so that every letter stroke and movement of the pen and hand is magnified and easy to follow. Your Kit

Tickets for this live-streamed workshop include 3 stunning coloured inks, a wooden penholder, a Leonardt 30 nib and a Leonardt 256, a paintbrush for mixing, and original worksheets & templates designed by our Master Calligrapher Kirsten Burke.

Your kit will be posted out to you the week prior to your workshop. You only need to provide a jar of water, and please protect the surface that you work on in case of ink spills.

System requirements

This workshop will be hosted via Zoom. All you need is a PC, Mac, laptop, or tablet. We wouldn't recommend a phone as we will be very small on your screen. Your Zoom invite will come with your booking email confirmation, and we'll send it to you again 3 days before your workshop in your reminder email. After you've booked please check your Spam folder in case the email ends up in there!
