Create your very own calligraphic masterpiece!  

This course consists of four 2.5 hour sessions, Tuesday evenings at 7pm - 9.30pm

Running from Tuesday 21st January to Tuesday 11th February 2020.

Making a shaped piece can often seem a little daunting, so over this four week course, we will break it down into simple steps and teach you how to create a beautifully balanced calligraphic artwork in a simple form of your choice such as a heart or square.

We’ll look closely at layout, composition, knitting your lettering together, flourishing and embellishments.

By the end of this short course, you will have designed and created an artwork that is totally unique to you, using a variety of techniques under Kirsten’s expert guidance.

if you would like to attend, you will need to have been on a half day beginner class beforehand, as we will recap on, but not teach the basics from scratch.

Please bring your own wording - we’d recommend a passage of approx 50-70 words.

You can choose to use a brush, brush pens or pointed nib and work in inks, paints, metallics or a combination.  All these materials will be provided.
