Our monthly Calligraphy Drop-In Sessions in East Wittering, West Sussex, are relaxed, creative studio mornings designed to give you dedicated time to slow down, make something by hand and enjoy a couple of hours of calligraphy in a welcoming space.

This month, we’ll be creating a short quote piece together, with printed worksheets and guidance provided to help you explore layout, lettering and composition in a relaxed and approachable way. You’ll also have the chance to try different nibs and experiment with an oblique holder if you haven’t used one before.

These sessions aren’t formal workshops, so there’s plenty of freedom to work at your own pace, ask questions and enjoy the process without pressure. A tutor will be on hand throughout the morning to offer gentle guidance, demonstrations and support whenever you need it.

The sessions are best suited to those who have already learnt some calligraphy and would like dedicated time to keep practising, build confidence and continue improving their skills in a supportive studio environment. You’ll be working around a shared table overlooking the countryside, with tea, coffee and encouragement always close at hand.
