Learn to create striking, professional lettering designs that will make an impact on chalkboards, mirrors, acrylic signs and pallets. Whether you’re preparing for a wedding, working in a café or bar where you want to promote specials, or simply looking to explore a new creative skill, this five-week course is designed for you.

You’ll discover how to adapt your lettering to suit different surfaces and formats, while exploring decorative elements that bring your message to life. By understanding the structure of lettering and how to combine different sizes and styles, you’ll be able to create cohesive and eye-catching designs. We’ll cover everything from shadows, volume, colour, and flourishes to banners, illustrations, and varied font styles.

To help you take your work further, you’ll also learn how to scale up designs for larger layouts like table plans and menus, while avoiding common pitfalls. In the final session, you’ll put everything together into a showcase project, with personalised guidance from your tutor.

This course is suitable for all levels, whether you’re just starting out, want to add creative flair to your events, or are seeking fresh ideas for your business.

Your tutor, Vicky, first fell in love with calligraphy while handwriting her own wedding stationery. Since then, she has honed her craft and now teaches regular workshops. With an eclectic style that shifts effortlessly between polished and whimsical, she’ll inspire you to explore your own lettering journey.
