Weddings are such magical time and we would absolutely love to help you to add the personal touch to your (or someone else's) special event. From save the date cards all the way through to the thank you notes, there is so much to think about and calligraphy is integral in setting the style of any wedding/event or special celebration.

Throughout the course, you will discover the tips and tricks to producing eye-catching calligraphy to elevate invitations, envelopes, table numbers, place settings, and wedding vows. We will look at how to bring seasonal elements into your designs to really capture the atmosphere.

As you progress, you’ll gain the pen control needed to create elegant calligraphy - a skill your guests will notice and love.

This course will give you the enviable skill of being able to turn your hand to different styles, and you’ll also be able to use them for any other special occasions in the future. By the end of the course, you’ll be fully equipped to create special details to enhance any celebration.

Please note that the basic principles of modern calligraphy aren't covered - this is a 'Beyond Beginner' level course. You don't need to have much experience, simply to know how the nib and ink work and how to control the pressure and release of the pen.

Every session of this course will be recorded, so if you miss a week for any reason you will able to watch the recording to catch up!

Your Kit

Your kit will be posted out to you the week prior to your workshop and will include worksheets, a penholder and nibs, an A4 Rhodia dot pad, a paintbrush, 2 coloured inks, a white gouache, metallic finetec, a silver metallic pen, oblique penholder and a selection of cards and envelopes.

You only need to provide a jar of water, and please protect the surface that you work on in case of ink spills.

No Kit Option

You will only receive the worksheets that will be emailed to you prior to the event.

If you have selected the no kit option please feel free to use a selection of your own favourite nibs and finetec. 

Payment Option

There is now the option to split your payment into 3 monthly instalments by using Clearpay at the checkout.

This ticket price includes postage to UK mainland only, no Islands or Highlands. For other UK and international locations, please email Nadine at enquiries@themoderncalligraphyco.com with your name, address and the workshop/course title and date you would like to attend and she will be able to let you know the additional postage charge and eta for your kit via Royal Mail.

PLEASE NOTE Once your kit has been posted, workshop tickets are not refundable. This does not affect your statutory rights.
