Every year, we intend to make cards for friends and family, but as Christmas gets nearer, time somehow disappears. In this five-session project, we’ll show you how to turn your calligraphy into a simple block-print design that can be printed again and again.
Work through the original Calligraphy Club sessions in your own time, with five recorded workshops and accompanying worksheets to guide you from your first sketch through to a finished set of festive cards.

What You’ll Learn
Across the five sessions, we’ll take your calligraphic design from paper to printing plate, before adding colour, metallics and festive finishing touches.
Session 1 — Creating Your Design
Develop a bold calligraphic design that will work well as a lino print and prepare it for transferring to your printing plate.
Session 2 — Tools, Inks & Paper
Get comfortable using the carving tools and experiment with different inks and papers before beginning your finished design.
Session 3 — Carving & Test Printing
Begin carving your design, then ink the plate and produce a test print to see how it is working on paper.
Session 4 — Refining & Printing
Make any alterations needed, finalise your printing plate and create a run of cards from your finished design.
Session 5 — Festive Finishing Touches
Add extra details, a second printed colour or touches of metallic to make your Christmas cards feel even more special.
How You’ll Access the Project
Once you’ve purchased Lino-Print Christmas Cards, you’ll receive access to a private Google Drive folder containing all five recorded sessions and the accompanying worksheets.
The worksheets are in the Google Drive folder too, so they’re easy to download, print and have beside you while you work.
One payment gives you access to the complete project; there’s no subscription, and you’re not joining the Calligraphy Club.
What You’ll Need
Lino or a soft-cut printing block · Lino-cutting tools · Pencil · Tracing paper · Printing ink · Roller · Inking tray or smooth surface · Paper for test prints · Blank cards · Metallic ink, paint or pens for extra details
If you don’t already have any printing tools, the simplest way to begin is with a basic lino-printing kit.
Don’t worry about having everything ready at once, as your worksheets include a materials list for each session.
