Over three weeks, we’ll celebrate the books that stay with us long after we’ve turned the final page. Favourite novels often gift us lines that perfectly capture an idea, a feeling, or a moment in our lives, those words that we underline, dog-ear, or come back to again and again. In this course, those much-loved quotes and titles become the starting point for your calligraphy.

Each week, you’ll turn your love of reading into a finished piece of artwork. You’ll create a bookmark designed to tempt you back into reading, a greeting card inspired by a book jacket (perfect for fellow book lovers), and a final illustrated artwork celebrating your best-of bookshelf, a visual reminder of how much joy comes from settling down with a good book and a quiet moment to yourself.

Along the way, we’ll explore expressive brush lettering, colour palettes that echo the mood of your chosen stories, and simple illustrated details that bring your words to life. The focus is gentle, creative, and satisfying, making something meaningful with your hands while celebrating the stories that inspire you.

Across the three weeks, you’ll learn how to:
