A two-part online short course

Create a beautiful, personal piece of festive artwork in time for Christmas.

In this relaxed two-session online course, you’ll design and paint your own Christmas monogram: a striking capital letter surrounded by winter foliage, such as holly, pine sprigs and seasonal berries.

This is a lovely project for the festive season because it feels personal, achievable and beautifully giftable. Frame your finished piece for your own home, create one as a thoughtful handmade present, or use the skills to make monograms for family and friends.

No advanced drawing or watercolour experience is needed. We’ll guide you step by step, from drawing your letter to arranging simple festive greenery and adding colour with gentle beginner-friendly watercolour techniques.

We’ll keep the painting techniques approachable and enjoyable, so you can relax into the process and create something you’ll be proud to share.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a finished Christmas monogram artwork ready to frame, display or gift.

Materials

Have your favourite watercolours, brushes, and paper ready, or choose to have a materials list sent ahead so you can gather everything before we start. Printable templates for each letter will also be provided by email for those who prefer a guide.

• Watercolour paper (A4 or A5)

• Watercolour paints + mixing palette

• Round brushes (sizes 2 and 6)

• Pencil & rubber

• Ruler

• Fine liner or dip pen (optional for outlines)

• 2 Water Jars & tissue
