Join Emily at West Hove Studio in Hove for this brilliant introduction into Nib and Brush Calligraphy.

There are lots of different ways of creating beautiful modern calligraphy, and sometimes knowing where to start can be tricky! This full-day taster workshop gives you the chance to try both pointed nib and brush pen using a range of types and colours so you can see which you enjoy the most and explore the various effects that can be achieved with each.

You will be creating letter-forms, using colour, metallics, and designing layouts.  You will work on beautiful templates and create finished pieces that you can frame and keep for yourself or give as a charming personal gift. With these techniques in your repertoire, you'll soon be creating greeting cards, party invitations and artwork for your home and loved ones!

As well as guiding the whole class with demonstrations and instructions, your tutor will provide you with one-on-one tuition and troubleshoot any issues you may come across.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

Refunds can be issued if we receive at least 14 days notice. Within the 14 days, we regret to inform we cannot process a refund unless we are able to fill your space.  In the unlikely event that we need to cancel or reshedule, you will be offered a refund or we can move you to a future date.

Refreshments are provided on arrival. We would advise bringing a packed lunch however Portland Road is a short walk away and is full of cafes and and stores where you can purchase food/drink.
