For those that know the basics of pointed pen calligraphy and want to take their skills further.

We're hugely excited to be able to offer this popular course nationwide, online. Our 'Beyond Beginner' Course is for those of you that know the basics ( ie you've attended one workshop) and wish to develop your lettering to make stunning creative pieces of art.

You'll learn to fine-tune your compositions and balance your work and be guided through the design process. By the end of this course, you will be able to create a beautifully composed piece.

So if you're looking to elevate your calligraphy to the next level, this is definitely the course for you!

Once you've ordered, you'll receive a link to the Zoom meeting. On the day of the class, use that link to join the class. Class sizes are kept small, so you can easily ask questions and get lots of one on one time with your tutors. Zoom is free and easy to use, on any device. You're in control of your privacy - you can mute yourself and hide your webcam if and when you prefer.

Choosing the Ticket that includes our Beyond Beginner Nib Kit means you will have everything you need to complete all of the lessons and projects included in the course.

Week 1: Bounce and blending - Blending Inks

Week 2: Extending connectors - Writing with Paint & Finetec

Week 3: Scale and Mini Caps - Spacing, Balance, and Proportion

Week 4: Flourishes and filling spaces - Compositions

Week 5: Refining your design

Every session of this course will be recorded, so if you miss a week for any reason you will able to watch the recording to catch up!

Your Kit

Black, yellow, magenta & turquoise calligraphy ink, a universal pen holder, pen rest, 3 different nibs, pipette, a selection of metallic Finetec, a pencil, paint brush, an A4 Rhodia dot pad, a selection of cards, templates and worksheets.

NO KIT OPTION

You will only receive the worksheets that will be posted out to you prior to the event.

If you have selected the no kit option please feel free to use a selection of your own favourite nibs and Finetc colours.

An online workshop is a wonderful way to learn calligraphy, as you are able to watch your tutor demonstrate up close on your screen so that every letter stroke and movement of the pen and hand is magnified.

Your Live Stream Workshop Kit will be posted out to you once your order is placed. All you need to provide is a jar of water, and please protect the surface that you work on in case of ink spills.

There is now the option to split your payment into 3 monthly instalments by using Clearpay at the checkout.

Included within this ticket price is postage to UK only. For other international locations, please email Emily at info@kirstenburke.co.uk with your name, address and the workshop/course title and date you would like to attend and she will be able to let you know the additional postage charge and eta for your kit via Royal Mail.

PLEASE NOTE Once your kit has been posted, workshop tickets are not refundable. This does not affect your statutory rights.
