Join us for this workshop packed with festive sparkle!

At The Modern Calligraphy Co. we want you to have a great time and feel relaxed, so you can get your best results. During this 2.5 hour workshop for beginners, your tutor will give demonstrations for the whole class, as well as providing one-on-one support and troubleshooting any individual difficulties you come across.

For this special Christmas themed workshop, we will guide you through creating your own gorgeous gift wrap, tags & cards. Using our original templates you'll learn how to use brush pens to create beautiful modern calligraphy, as well as learning how to add metallics and embellishments to your projects to really elevate them and add that Christmas wow factor! You’ll also get the chance to work with foiling techniques, because who doesn't love a bit of sparkle!

All your templates, which are original Kirsten Burke designs, will be yours to keep, as well as your worksheets so you can continue your lettering journey from home.  Everything you need to complete the workshop will be provided so you can just relax and enjoy!

As well as guiding the whole class with demonstrations and instructions, your tutor will be there to provide you with one-on-one tuition and troubleshooting any issues you may come across.

Throughout the workshop you’ll learn about letterforms, and learn all the basics of creating your own gorgeous calligraphy. With these techniques in your repertoire, you'll soon be creating greeting cards, party invitations, and artworks for your home and loved ones!

All the materials you’ll need are provided, so you can relax and enjoy!

We are pleased to say that as a COVID secure venue, we are able to continue hosting workshops in our studios. We hope that being able to attend our workshops will give our students a much-needed opportunity to learn and relax in safety when so many other options are unavailable.

We take safety at our workshops seriously and we will do everything necessary to keep you safe and have a great workshop. We have a rigorous workshop hygiene procedure, socially distanced work stations, and practice no-touch teaching.

We ask that you please do not attend if you are feeling ill, or think that you may have been exposed to the virus. You are really welcome to attend a workshop with someone from your bubble but we cannot accept bookings of groups over six. Bubble members will be seated together,  socially distanced from other bubbles and individuals. Please wear a  mask to enter and move around the studio, but you are free to remove your mask if you want when you are seated.

We are continually reviewing our measures as new government guidelines are released, and the latest version of our safety procedures can always be found on our website, including what to expect when you attend a  workshop.
