About the Event

Tutor: Lead Calligrapher - Maisie Minett

This inspiring workshop will give you the enviable skills you need to make reconnecting with friends and family over the summer months extra special!

Use the techniques you learn with us to create beautifully unique-to-you drinks menus, bottle tags, food flags, ‘welcome’ banners, cards, gift tags and any other magical flourishes you can dream up to adorn your home or garden.

This 2.5 hour pointed nib workshop is carefully structured to give you the best possible learning experince. Your tutor will guide you through various exercises, showing you how to create the letters of the alphabet and turn them into elegant words. As your confidence and understanding grows, you'll learn how to skillfully use metallics and blend colours to create stunning ombre and gradient effects.

Each ticket will include a special gift from us - a beautiful bundle of stationery supplies, perfect for you to personalise to let people know how much you’ve missed them!

Suitable for beginners and anyone looking to refresh their calligraphy skills.

COVID SAFETY

We take safety at our workshops seriously and we will do everything necessary to keep you safe and have a great workshop. We have a rigorous workshop hygiene procedure, socially distanced work stations, and practice no-touch teaching.

We ask that you please do not attend if you are feeling ill, or think that you may have been exposed to the virus. You are really welcome to attend a workshop with someone from your bubble but we cannot accept bookings of groups over six. Bubble members will be seated together,  socially distanced from other bubbles and individuals. Please wear a  mask to enter and move around the studio, but you are free to remove your mask if you want when you are seated.

We are continually reviewing our safety measures as new government guidelines are released. For our up to date health and safety procedures please visit our Keeping You Safe page: https://www.themoderncalligraphyco.com/keeping-you-safe
