This is one of our 'Beyond Beginner' workshops - perfect for calligraphy enthusiasts who want to take their lettering skills beyond the basics. It's aimed at those with some calligraphy experience already.

Learn to use masking fluid with a pointed nib and then add coloured washes to your calligraphy to create beautiful artworks. The brightness that this method gives your lettering is far crisper than working over colour with white, and once you know the techniques you will fall in love with this process!

An online workshop is a wonderful way to learn calligraphy, as you are able to watch your tutor demonstrate up close on your screen so that every letter stroke and movement of the pen and hand is magnified and easy to follow. Your Zoom invite will come with your booking email confirmation, and we'll send it to you again 3 days before your workshop in your reminder email. After you've booked please check your Spam folder in case the email ends up in there!

Your Kit

Tickets for this pointed nib calligraphy live-streamed workshop include a bottle of masking fluid, a set of our coloured inks, your worksheets, and heavy watercolour paper. You will need to have a pointed nib of your choice and a pen holder of your own & a light pad would be a good addition, but not essential. Your kit will be posted out to you the week prior to your workshop.

Included within this ticket price is postage to UK mainland only, no Islands or Highlands. For other UK and international locations, please email Emily at info@kirstenburke.co.uk with your name, address and the workshop/course title and date you would like to attend and she will be able to let you know the additional postage charge and eta for your kit via Royal Mail.

System requirements

This workshop will be hosted via Zoom. All you need is a PC, Mac, laptop, or tablet. We wouldn't recommend a phone as we will be very small on your screen. Your zoom link will be in your reminder email sent to you 3 days prior to the event. After you've booked please check your Spam folder in case the email ends up in there!
