Have you spent time learning calligraphy, but would like a little guidance?

We have introduced this brand new live-streamed class with Kirsten herself so that she can give you the knowledge to progress and improve. Discover how to stop your ink from feathering, how to make all types of paper easier to write onto, and when to change your nib. We will send you a link to your downloadable worksheets so you can print them out in advance of the workshop. Then together we will work through them, with Kirsten guiding you through the building blocks of lettering and then move onto adding swashes and flourishes, numbers, and punctuation to your repertoire.

This workshop will be run as a live video stream with Kirsten, it will NOT a pre-recorded video. Friendly and informative, you will be given technical advice; personal feedback on the work you've already done; and resolving any other calligraphy troubles you might have. This group is kept small so that it feels intimate and each person can gain from their time with Kirsten. You can send any specific work you would like feedback on before the class if you would like to. Kirsten will give pointers and invaluable feedback on your work to you and the others in the Zoom class. This is hugely helpful when you are learning, as being able to critique your own and others is the next step to becoming a skillful calligrapher. If you would rather not have your work shown, that's totally fine!

Tickets for this online workshop include a lesson plan which will be posted to you. You will need to provide your own equipment, all the materials we love to use are listed on our Amazon Shop.

Materials You will need to provide yourself with a jar of water, a pencil and a rubber, some kitchen roll, a penholder with the pointed nib you like using, and ink.

Suitable for anyone that has been learning from our books or been to an introductory workshop and wants to progress.

System requirements. The workshop will be hosted via Zoom. To participate, all you need is a computer that has video and audio capabilities. You will need a good WiFi connection. A link to join the online workshop will be sent to you when you order and in a reminder to you just before the workshop. You will also need access to a printer to print off your worksheets.
